Dr. Barry Dubin featured on ABC TV with Snap-On-Smile

Dr. Barry Dubin of JFK Dental Care was the subject of a Special Report that aired on the local 11:00 pm news on ABC TV, Channel 6 on Monday night, December, 21, 2009. The report covered one of our patients, Marcella Crawley, getting a Snap-On-Smile, the revolutionary new way to get a beautiful smile without braces or extensive dental work.

A reporter from Channel 6 approached Dr. Dubin back in the summer about this new technique. Apparently, she had received some press releases about Snap-On-Smile and thought it would make an interesting story and provide viewers with valuable and useful information. She then contacted the makers of Snap-On-Smile to find out what dentists in the Delaware Valley were experienced in this procedure. They gave her Dr. Dubin’s name.

When she came to interview us and ask if we had a patient that she could follow through the process, she got more than she bargained for with Miss Crawley. Marcella , a lovely woman with a personality and heart to match, had a great story to tell about waiting for a beautiful smile before getting married. Local Center City Philadelphia Dentist, Dr. Barry Dubin, Announces New Patient-Centered Staffing

Local Center City Philadelphia dentist, Dr. Barry Dubin, announces a new Patient-Centered staffing model at his practice at 1829 JFK Blvd. If you are one of our current patients, you will notice a difference in the staff that you see. The old staffing model and that used by most other dental practices assigns staff to specific tasks that need to be done within the practice: A “Receptionist” answers the phone; a “Scheduler” makes your appointments; a “Finance Manager” takes your payments; a “Dental Assistant” helps the dentist; and a “hygienist” cleans your teeth and takes care of your gums. In this old model, everything revolves around the office and the jobs that need to be done for the practice. This is obviously a PRACTICE centered model, and you – the patient – may see 6 or 7 different people in one visit and totally different people on your next visit. With so many hands in the “pot”, its easy for details to get lost and communication to get confused. Patients sometimes feel they are hearing something completely different from each person they see and it doesn’t all add up. It is easy in this model for the patient to get lost when the staff is so busy working with so many people.

Dr. Barry Dubin of JFK Dental Care realized that using a “PATIENT centered model that uses the same “team” of staff members to work with the same patient each time s/he comes in would be much better. We now have Treatment Coordinators (the old assistants”) who are assigned their own treatment room. Patients will normally always be seen in the same room with the same Coordinator and the same doctor. In addition to the Doctor and Treatment Coordinator, each patient will also have an Administrative Coordinator who will always handle all payments, insurance, and other administrative tasks for them. Patients can expect a higher lever of customer service because they will have their own dedicated team that will work with them to take care of all their needs.

Sedation Dentistry office Cleans up their act!

Our goal at JFK Dental is to provide each patient in Philadelphia and the tri-state area with excellent care. Dr. Dubin strives to provide each patient with the best quality care and service. Our last improvement for you – The office. Spring/Summer cleaning commenced on Friday, June 13, 2008. We cleaned everything from top to bottom; drawers, cabinets, floors, we organized products, operatories, materials, etc. in order to better assist each patient with their needs and procedures we provide. We also made these improvements to improve the quality of your visit. We want each of you to feel comfortable in a beautiful, clean, and calming atmosphere. Each of the staff at JFK Dental Care worked together on Friday to make the office sparkle and shine. Dr. Dubin is proud of his staff dedication and commitment to the practice and the overall effort put into making the office a better place for each patient.
